No Whangaruru ahau.
I am a wife, a mother of 3 beautiful children living in Kirikiriroa/Hamilton and I’m of Māori and Pasifika descent.
I first heard about BICT in October 2020 and became curious about whether the work they did would benefit my son Ezekiel, who has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Global Developmental Delay.
After speaking with Shirley over the phone, I became inspired by her son Mark’s story and for the first time in a long time, I saw a bridge between my dreams for my son’s future and the possibility of those dreams becoming a reality.
We started Ezekiel’s Home-based, Neuro-Developmental Therapy Program with Ian Hunter in January 2021 and within the first few weeks, the results were overwhelming.
I am passionate about ensuring that all families; who are eligible, are aware that they have options for their child’s care through BICT and the incredible work they do.
I look forward to serving you and your families as a committee member.
